The Pursuit: Men's Study

Starts April 16th | 6:30 p.m. | Room 309

Introducing The Pursuit: A 40-week, video-driven discipleship study designed to empower men to become who God has created them to be. Each video features the teaching of Rick Burgess, best-selling author and co-host of the nationally-syndicated radio show, The Rick and Bubba Show. The Pursuit challenges men to model their lives and their manhood after Jesus. If men are to become who God intends them to be, they must pattern their lives after the example set by God when He became a man. This study will equip men with five-week studies on eight different characteristics modeled by Christ. Join the men of Central on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., beginning April 16 in Room 309.

Luke: Good News for all People
Each of the 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) were written by different people for different groups of readers. They all tell the story of Jesus, but they each have their own emphases. Luke stated at the very beginning of his Gospel that he wrote “to give an orderly account” of the life of Jesus. While we see quite a few themes in his telling of the story, and while many of the details he presents are also found in Matthew and Mark, Luke seems to emphasize that the Good News of Jesus is for everyone—not just the Jews. In fact, not only did Jesus come for Jews and Gentiles, but He also came to rescue the poor and downtrodden—the outcast and marginalized in society. Join us as Pastor Mike walks us through the Gospel of Luke, which really is Good News for All People.

Who We Are

Central is a multi-generational church full of imperfect people who love Jesus and each other. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, Jesus is the sovereign ruler over all creation, and the Gospel is Good News for everyone. Our mission is to make disciples who know and follow Jesus, and our worship is God-centered, Christ-exalting, and biblically grounded. If you are looking for an authentic community of faith that strives to love God and people with truth and grace, we hope you will pray about becoming part of our family.

Knowing God

As you can see, Central has a lot to offer. The most important thing we can give you, however, is the Gospel. Simply, the Gospel is the Good News of who Jesus is and what He has done to bring us into a relationship with God. To know what we mean, think of the following four main themes of the Bible:
